So the story continues and, controlling different characters, you must follow numerous leads as you are swept along with the various political intrigues. On delivering your charge you will then collect a new character, begin to learn something about the troubles that are besetting the land, and set out on another critical mission to the town of Romney. The road to Krondor is rocky and liberally sprinkled with roaming enemy spies and warriors, but if you take heed of advice you can make it there relatively unscathed. A brief introductory spiel sets the scene and then you are on your own. You begin with control of three characters, one of whom is, mysteriously, a compliant captive, and your first task is to escort him to the city of Krondor. So if you have read any of these books the game world will be instantly familiar. The author himself had a hand in its writing. Most of you will be well aware that this title is based on Raymond E. It's a roleplaying game through and through, albeit a roleplaying game with a difference. Very likely because I heard so much about its 'strategy' component I somehow got the impression it was a war strategy game in which the gameplay consisted of building armies and fighting heroic battles. It's one of those games that slipped by me when it was first released and I am wondering now just why. Del, your character, sets out to investigate. It's been peaceful for some time, but now it seems like someone is summoning the dark beasts once more. The game takes you into a world ruled by demons. It has basic effects but it is effective in contrast to dark themes. To make the story more interesting, you search for local settings and towns. The plot twists and turns when you find a child demon, and everything changes. It's a survival game with short gameplay that offers two endings depending on how you play. It is similar to Opossum Country and Metamorphosis, with a detailed story that's wrapped in retro graphics. It lets you battle demons in a postapocalyptic world.
